Elephant Stone son una banda originaria de Montreal cincos chicos que como ellos mismo lo indican hacen Powerpop Psicodelico, la banda inicio con Rishi quien tocaba el bajo en otros grupos importantes y decidió poner su propia banda, tomando elementos hindi (siendo que el mismo Rishi es hindú) y ademas adoran la figura Sri Ganesha, Ananda Shankar, la comida Hindú y por supuesto a los Beatles.

Su álbum se titula The Seven Seas el cual muestra todas las influenzas hindú en la mayoría de las canciones destacando The Straight Line en la cual el Sitar toma una rol importante. En diferente sitios de música especializada los ponen como un "impresionante debut" y sobretodo un "verdadero pop psicodélico."

Elephant Stone are from Montreal , five guys that make Powerpop Psychedelic music , the band started with Rishi who played with other important bands and then he decided to start his own, taking some hindian elements (thats because Rishi is hindian) also they worship Sri Ganesha, Ananda Shankar, indian food and of course the beatles.

Their debut album is "the Seven seas" wich shows all the Hindie Rock influences, especially in "the Straight line" were the Sitar takes a lead rol. Diferent reviews in music sites says that "are an impressive debut" and "“true psychedelic pop… sparkling, gorgeous tunes”.
